S. A. Foster Residence and Stable (1900)
I was sure that this was not a Wright design and I was convinced otherwise only after seeing the Chicago Landmark plaque. I was only familiar with his Prairie and Usonian homes, and as he started his career in Chicago, there are many pre-prairie homes here, such as this one. Apparently this was built soon after his trip to Japan, and you can see Japanese influences, such as the flared ridgepole.
