The dock of Shoreline Cruise is located by Navy Pier, our final destination of the night. It is a small carnival/amusement park in a little peninsula of Chicago. Along with skyscrapers, Chicago is also the birthplace of the Ferris wheel. The impossible achievement, when finally completed at the height of Chicago Fair’s financial disaster, made millions because it sat hundreds of people at once. Details of this event and the Chicago Fair is well described in the fiction novel, Devil in the White City.
