Aqua Tower

The fluid movement created by the Aqua Tower definitely stands unique among the straight lines of rectilinear high rises. However, the building is criticized by many building scientists and engineers. The concrete slabs continue out onto the balconies and act as a thermal bridge, carrying outside temperature in. This aesthetic choice sacrifices the efficiency of the building, and the tower fails to be a leading design in a world dire in need of sustainability.

Lisa Rochon bashes the building in her article, “Tall, thin, curvy, gorgeous – and heating the winter sky”
