B. Harley Bradley Residence, “Glenlloyd” (1900)

Kankakee, Illinois
HW #160

We arrived at the house while the staff was having a long meeting, so we waited around to see if anyone would come show us around. Unfortunately, we only got to look at the exterior. The protrusion is accentuated by the tapering of the sides and the hipped roof overhang that reaches out and hovers over the three-sided protrusion. The inner lining of the eaves that meets the walls continues in the direction of the hipped roof and accentuates the cut-out. (b)
