Corbin Education Center

Wichita, Kansas
HW #171

As one of Frank Lloyd Wrights last buildings, the university building definitely has some unique elements. The Education Center consists of two buildings, separated by an esplanade with a long rectilinear fountain. From the street view, the buildings have a top-heavy appearance with the heavy concrete sitting on what appears to be thin arched mullions. On the courtyard side of the building, balconies from either buildings overlook the fountain and has an open and light feel with the tall, red columns supporting the thin blue roof.
