Mathematician’s Studio

Tectonics and Materiality talks about the meaning and poetics of materials and construction forms, and the translation of these materials into experiential form and cultural meaning. As details, especially joints, connect different elements that give architecture its significance, they are not merely a part of a whole or a unifying element but give ontological significance to a building, itself becoming an ontological condensation. Really interesting class.

One of our first projects is to design a small studio for a Mathematician. The first iteration and is ought to change.
